Carolina Marín, face of the Andalusian olive promotion campaign in India

Interaceituna and Andalucía TRADE are promoting the diversification of exports of this product with a €1.6 million promotion

The Andalusia TRADE foreign trade promotion agency and the Interaceituna trade association have launched a new promotional campaign for table olives in India, aiming to strengthen their position in one of the markets with the greatest growth potential for this product.

The campaign, representing an investment of €1.6 million, features Carolina Marín, Olympic and world badminton champion and one of the most recognized Spanish athletes in India, where the sport has millions of followers. Her image will serve to bring Andalusian table olives closer to Indian consumers and reinforce their association with a healthy lifestyle and the values of the Mediterranean diet. Under the slogan “Feed Your Heart with Olives from Spain,” the first phase of the campaign includes a significant presence on television, digital platforms, social media, and e-commerce channels.

The Minister of Economy, Finance, European Funds, and Social Dialogue of the Regional Government of Andalusia, Carolina España, emphasizes that "it is an honor for Andalusia that one of our greatest athletes of all time is the face of Andalusian and Spanish table olives in this campaign, in a country like India, where we have been investing for years with extraordinary results."

This initiative is part of the market diversification strategy promoted by the Regional Government of Andalusia to strengthen the international presence of Andalusian table olives. In this regard, India has established itself as one of the destinations with the greatest potential for the sector. In the last six years, Andalusian table olive exports to the Asian country have doubled, rising from €1.9 million to €3.7 million. Andalusia currently accounts for 83% of Spanish exports of this product to the Indian market.

Over the next few months, promotional activities will take place in key cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Kolkata. These activities will combine digital campaigns, collaborations with specialized media outlets, food events, tastings, and other events related to healthy eating.
