The great number of framework, cooperation and specific agreements between Indian and Spanish universities are the main vectors for the collaboration of our educational systems, although their application in terms of mobility continues to have great potential. The presence of Spanish studies in India has grown significantly thanks to the Indian Hispanists and their university departments. In Spain, India is slowly finding its place in the Spanish university, mainly in pioneering universities such as the University of Valladolid or the Instituto de Empresa. The creation of Instituto Cervantes of New Delhi, the network of private academies or the consolidation of the network of Spanish lecturers in the main Indian universities have played a key role in the expansion of Spanish studies in India. The success of the conversation assistant program of the Ministry of Education of Spain proves the great benefits of language teachers’ mobility. Thanks to its economic dimension and the professional opportunities for its students, Spanish has become one of the most popular languages in India.
