This initiative seeks to position the country as a data center manufacturing and service hub for the entire Asian region
Spanish company Submer recently announced its strategic expansion into the Indian market, positioning the country as a manufacturing and service hub for the entire Asian region. The company notes that Submer's expertise in AI data centers offers significant advantages for India's growing AI ecosystem.
With this initiative, the company aims to create a robust and sustainable data ecosystem in India, leveraging the country's unique position as a leader in modern digital infrastructure. To this end, Submer will introduce its advanced and sustainable liquid cooling solutions, which drastically reduce data center energy and water consumption, resulting in a much smaller environmental footprint and significantly lower operating costs.
Patrick Smets, CEO of Submer, notes that "India's digital transformation is unparalleled, and its lack of legacy infrastructure provides the perfect framework for building the data centers of the future today. We're not just bringing our technology to India; we're establishing a new paradigm for sustainable digital growth. Our goal is to make India a model for how a nation can achieve massive data center scale while promoting environmental stewardship."
The company plans to establish its own manufacturing facility in India, making the country a production and export hub for Submer's transformative cooling systems throughout Asia. In addition, Submer will collaborate with leading skills development agencies to create a workforce ready for the cutting-edge data centers required by today's growing computing needs. This initiative will create more than 5,000 job opportunities in mechanics, electricity, and plumbing over the coming years.
