The Lanza-N 3D is one of the most advanced long-range air defence and anti-missile systems on the market
Our patron Indra, in collaboration with India's Tata Advances Systems Limited, has successfully delivered and installed the first 3D-ASR - Lanza-N radar on an Indian Navy warship.
The acceptance and incorporation of this radar came after it passed rigorous sea trials, during which various naval and air platforms were deployed to evaluate its performance in detecting targets.
Following this first delivery, Indra and Tata Advanced Systems will proceed to install additional radars on frigates, destroyers and aircraft carriers of the Indian Navy. To support this implementation, an assembly, integration and testing facility has been established at Tata Advanced Systems' premises in Karnataka.
Ana Buendía, director of Indra's Naval Business Unit, pointed out that ‘this project goes far beyond the delivery and installation of radars on a large number of ships. It has also allowed us to establish a significant collaboration with Tata Advanced Systems, with whom we have worked to create a radar factory in Bangalore. This now provides us with local support to produce systems more efficiently and offer a service closer to the customer.’
