A trip to Barcelona gave the Leaders a chance to get acquainted with the Spanish high-speed train's possibilities from the cockpit
After the Indian Leaders Programme’s first leg in Madrid, the participants travelled to Barcelona. The chosen means of transport was the AVE high-speed train, which allowed them to get acquainted with the great infrastructure and service potential that Spain can offer India. The Leaders travelled with José Antonio García Bárez, Head of Coordination and Support at RENFE, who showed them to the train's cockpit so that they could see for themselves its integrated control system and the technology that makes this kind of rail transport possible.
