María Victoria González Román and Shri Jayant N. Khobragade expressed their commitment to continue working in close collaboration, with a focus on the upcoming Spain-India Dual Year
On Friday, October 10, the first meeting took place between the new Secretary General of the Spain-India Council Foundation, diplomat María Victoria González from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, and the Ambassador of India to Spain, Shri Jayant N. Khobragade.
With a view to the upcoming Spain-India Dual Year, this meeting also marks the beginning of a new phase, both with the appointment of the new Secretary General of the Foundation and the arrival of the new Ambassador of India in Spain, who has been serving in the country since last September.
The meeting served as an initial introduction, reaffirming the commitment to continue working in close collaboration, and expressing the desire to further promote, through this successful public-private partnership model, joint projects that foster institutional, business, and cultural exchange between the two countries. The first of these will be the 5th Spain-India Forum, which will take place in Barcelona next month and was discussed during the meeting.
Among those attending this first meeting were José Eugenio Salarich, representing ACCIONA and the presidency of the FCEI; Berta Fuertes Ferragut, Director of the FCEI; Prithika Rani, diplomat at the Embassy of India; and Vega Yubero Bouthelier, Deputy Director of the FCEI.
