Lunch with an Indian business delegation

SICF’s patrons held a private meeting with members of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII)

The patrons of the Spain India Council Foundation had lunch at Hotel Intercontinental in Madrid with an Indian business delegation from the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). The group travelled with India’s Secretary of State for Commerce, Rita Teaotia, who came to Madrid in order to participate in the Mixed Committee on Commerce.

The business delegation was led by R. Dinesh, who had the chance to give SICF’s patrons a rundown of the business opportunities for Spanish companies in India and of the potential ways to strengthen business ties between the two countries.

The Foundation’s Secretary General, Alonso Dezcallar, gave an overview of SICF’s mission, objectives and activities.

The companies and institutions which participated in the meeting were Krishna Hydro Projects, Navantia, Wipro Limited, Gas Natural, Sunrise Industries Ltd., TVS Iberia, the Embassy of India, Madrid City Council, T.M. International, Cuatrecasas, Casa Asia, Confederation of Indian Industry, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Gujarat Borosil Ltd., ICEX, IE Business School and Nadal Forwarding.

The lunch was a unique opportunity for SICF’s patrons and Indian businessmen alike to discuss economic, political and business issues.
