SICF’s patrons held an extraordinary Board meeting, at which there was also a change of Vice-Chairs
Juan Ignacio Entrecanales, Executive VP of Acciona, was appointed Chairman of the Spain India Council Foundation.
SICF’s patrons held an extraordinary Board meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation. The only item on the agenda was the appointment of a new Chairman and Vice-Chairs.
Acciona, a patron of the SICF since its inception in 2009, has now taken over the Foundation’s chairmanship. Íñigo de Palacio from Indra and Antonio Montes from IE Business School both took Vice-Chair roles.
The meeting also served as a farewell to outgoing Chairman Antonio Escámez from Banco Santander and Vice-Chairs Mohan Chainani and Joan Rosàs, from Chaincorp and La Caixa.
All the patrons recognised and thanked the outgoing team for their efforts and dedication: not only did they launch the Foundation 10 years ago, they also positioned it as a useful tool for relations between Spanish and Indian companies and institutions.
The Foundation chose to recognise the efforts and retain the expertise and experience of the three outgoing patrons by appointing them SICF patrons of honour in a personal capacity.
